J. Cole is slated to perform as part of VH1's Super Bowl Blitz event, which is also scheduled to include Janelle Monae, among others. Drake and Diddy are set to perform at Time Warner Cable Studios in Manhattan, New York for Time Warner Cable's pre-game parties.
Kendrick Lamar is slated to perform at the ESPN Super Bowl Party at Pier 36 in Manhattan, New York. Robin Thicke joins him on that line-up. The Roots are set to join Run-DMC, Busta Rhymes and others as part of Bud Light Hotel's concert showcase bill, which is slated to take place at Bud Light Hotel Amphitheater in Manhattan, New York.
The main event, Super Bowl XLVIII's halftime show is slated to include Bruno Mars as its halftime show star, a job that Beyonce handled last year.

Queen Latifah apologizes to Twitter and says that she did not predict a new album from OutKast.

Queen Latifah made headlines when she was recently quoted saying that OutKast is set to work on a new album. Now, Latifah says that she never predicted an OutKast album would be made.
Latifah made this declaration on Twitter yesterday (January 16), also apologizing for getting "Twitter a flutter." Latifah's Twitter post follows several reports, including one from Huffington Post, which featured her saying that OutKast was slated to work on a new album.

“They’re chilling," Queen Latifah reportedly said of OutKast during an interview with Howard Stern, as per Huffington Post and MTV, among others. "They’re doing movies. They’re about to work on a new album."

OutKast recently announced a festival run that is slated to include more than 40 dates, but the duo has not announced or confirmed album plans. 

Ciara Officially Announces Pregnancy With Future’s Child On Morning Talk Show

The rumors have been flying around about Ciara being pregnant with her fiancé, Future’s, baby. This morning Ciara was on “The View” when she decided to officially announce she is in fact pregnant.
Ciara decided to use Beyonce’s 2011 MTV Video Music Awards baby reveal this morning on the morning talk show “ The View.” When the singer was asked if she was expecting a child, she stood up and opened her jacket to rub her stomach indicating she is, in fact, pregnant.
Ciara just got in engaged back in October with Future and this will be her first child. Future already has three children with three different women.

Scott Storch Teams Up With DJ Khaled For 2014 Projects

40 year old mega producer Scott Storch has been away from the limelight for quite some time. Storch, known for an endless catalog of hits featuring everyone from Beyonce to 50Cent, has decided to amp things up for 2014. In a recent interview with Mikey T The Movie Star, Storch revealed his plans to team up with We The Best Music and DJ Khaled.

“I feel really great about the venture with him [DJ Khaled],” he added. “And I feel like if there’s anybody that can really help in this industry, out of all the moguls that are within the Hip Hop industry, he’s definitely the person. He’s got his hand in so many different projects. People value his opinion. And the fact that he holds me in high regard and was really into my music. Selling it proudly. It’s a great thing…I mean, we’re gonna flood the market. We’re gonna do—put [out] quality music. All of the, what I feel are the A-list artists and people that are [out] doing it, you know?”

Storch went on to discuss his plans on working with Rick Ross and Fat Joe on projects as well.

“I’m taking a good role in Ross’ album,” Storch said. “And there’s some incredible stuff to come with that. I’m very thankful. Spliff helped me put that together. One of the things that I’m really looking forward to is getting back to working with my brother Fat Joe. Just talked to him over the holiday and he’s anxious and excited to get back in. I think we’re both in a good place now. I always have good luck with Joe. Lightning struck quite a few times in the same place.”

Religious Group Creates Religion Based On Kanye West Called ‘Yeezianity’

Rapper Kanye West has been making headlines all week and he continues to stay in the news. This time Ye didn’t do anything, instead a group of people have created a religion solely based on him called Yeezianity.
The religious group has explained five main points which symbolize every Yeezian.

 ”An anonymous group of people have taken that song pretty literally, it seems, because they’ve formed an official religion centered around Kanye called Yeezianity. According to its website, the group “believes that the one who calls himself Yeezus is a divine being who has been sent by God to usher in a New Age of humanity.” “We could be anyone you know, from your mailman to the mayor of your city,” the website says. Future Changes Tour Contract To Accomodate Pregnant Ciara

Atlanta rapper Future and singer Ciara announced yesterday that they are expecting their first child together. Future has decided to make sure Ciara’s pregnancy is as comfortable as possible by making some strict touring contract demands.
According to reports, Future is making sure every tour stop he makes takes care of his fiancé while he is shutting down the stage.

Ciara — who’s engaged to rapper Future — just announced her pregnancy, but people in Future’s camp have known about it for months. We’re told Future’s tour contract called for a “clean” backstage environment whenever Ciara traveled with him — no smoking, healthy foods and nothing that could be detrimental to her pregnancy. Our sources tell us Ciara is about 7 months pregnant. Turns out the tour contract may have been for naught — she only attended two concerts because of horrible morning sickness. Kendrick Lamar Talks Grammy Nominations & Details His Writing Process

To cap off an unbelievable year , Compton’s own Kendrick Lamar is up for Seven Grammy awards. The Grammy Association recently sat down with the TDE artist to talk about what it feels like to have such an insane year and takes a look back at where he started from to the place he is at today.

“The reality of my existence now, I kind of had an idea of what it would be like, but it’s definitely a lot more work than the eye could see,” Lamar says in a video posted by Grammys’YouTube channel. “I always go back to just the thought of one person listening to my mixtape or demo or song to get your community to listen to it, or your neighborhood, your state, the West Coast, the East Coast and build up all the way to Grammy nominations, believe it or not.” 

K.Dot went on to talk about how his writing process works and how it’s changed over the years.

“I’m meeting different people, different cultures so I’m constantly writing,” Lamar says. “The process now is so spontaneous. It’s whatever I get my hands on. Whenever an idea approaches, I gotta write it down. I gotta keep a mental note. Whether it’s a napkin, my phone, a book or anything. Inspiration is everything. That’s my main focus, my art, knowing it wasn’t the hype, it wasn’t press, it wasn’t publicity stunts. It was the music from Day 1. I have to remember that.”

Pharrell Williams Gets Huge Oscar Nomination For ‘Happy’

Pharrell Williams is starting his 2014 on a great note after recently signing to Columbia Records and now we have learned he has been nominated for an Oscar  Award.
According to reports, The Neptunes’ Pharrell has been nominated for “Best Original Song” category.

 ”U2, Pharrell Williams and Karen O are all in the runnings for this year’s Oscars. Yeah Yeah Yeah’s Karen O is nominated in the Best Song catergory for The Moon Song, a song she wrote with Spike Jonze for his film Her. Pharrell also picks up a nomination his No 1 single Happy, a track recorded for Despicable Me 2. They will compete against U2‘s track Long Walk To Freedom, from the film Mandela.
